Unique Navigation Method

Headless Horse has come incredible and incredibly basic user experience on their website. Their unique way of showing their work is somehow simultaneously over-stimulating as well as easy to navigate. Rather than having fancy galleries or carousels to put images in, they quite literally put it all out there at once. Almost resembling a pin board/bulletin board that one might hand work on, everything is just thrown up on an image of a wall that browser window is cropped in on. To see every part of that mega-wall of work, you have to mouse around and to the farthest most edges to move that viewport with your cursor. Hovering over the individual images on that wall gives you the name of the project. When you click on an image, it expands into that traditional portfolio window in which you’re able to view documentation of the work and read about the process. That popup floats over a greyed out version of that wall so that even thought it is no longer the focus of the experience, you never lose your place in their library of work.
